2009 Strengthening Families Leadership Summit
The Center for the Study of Social Policy and its many partners invite you to be a part of the second Strengthening Families Leadership Summit, all about Creating Opportunities in Challenging Times.
In the two years since the first Summit, Strengthening Families has developed into a vibrant and varied approach to supporting families, promoting optimal child development, and preventing abuse and neglect. When we come together in Atlanta this October, we will celebrate successes, wrestle with tough questions, think about emerging opportunities, and support one another in the work ahead.
At the 2009 Strengthening Families Leadership Summit, you’ll have the chance to:
- Get the newest information about innovations in the Strengthening Families approach, including applications in child welfare practice, family child care and strategies for creating meaningful parent partnerships
- Foster relationships with peers across the country and share your experience and expertise with other leaders in Strengthening Families
- Generate new ideas about building Protective Factors with families
- Celebrate achievements and accomplishments.
On this website, you can find out more about the Strengthening Families Leadership Summit, register to attend, and sign up to get information and updates leading up to and during the Summit.
Also in Atlanta
Strengthening Families leaders work in a variety of fields, so several affinity group meetings will be held both before and after the Summit in Atlanta. One such meeting, the National Family Support Networking Planning Forum, to be held on October 30th, will determine the need for, role, and structure of a national “networking/coordinatin” body. Click here for more information about the National Family Support Forum.
