“Learn with states that are working to integrate Strengthening Families into professional development in their child welfare systems. While much of this work is new, lessons are already being learned about strategies that have been effective, challenges that have arisen, and recommendations for other states embarking on work in this area. This will be a facilitated dialogue with representatives from three states who each have a unique approach to introducing the Strengthening Families approach into child welfare professional development.”

On this call, the three states working with funding from the A. L. Mailman Foundation shared their work around incorporating Strengthening Families concepts into child welfare policies and practice, and linking early care and education and child welfare systems. CSSP plans to convene another call in early 2009 to explore strategies being implemented in other states around the country doing this work.
